A little secret I’ve been keeping…
Back in June 2025, I received a phone call telling me I’d been selected from over 2,000 applicants to be a main pod contestant on the next series of Landscape Artist of the Year 2026. Typing this still feels a little unreal.
It turned out to be one of the most surreal, joyful (and quietly nerve-wracking) days of my painting life — made all the more special by meeting the brilliant judges Tai-Shan Schierenberg, Kathleen Soriano and Eva Langret, alongside the ever-charming Stephen Mangan.
Huge thanks to the production team for creating such a calm, supportive atmosphere throughout — it truly was a privilege to be part of.
I won’t be giving anything away just yet, but the new series airs in early 2026… and yes, I’ll be watching with my fingers firmly crossed.

A warm snapshot of Manchester nightlife inspired by the Soho House–designed interiors of Mollie’s diner. Cadillac-red booths, glowing globe lights and rich walnut tones create a cinematic setting where everyday moments quietly unfold.

Tucked into the narrow, neon-lit alleys of Tokyo, Tokyo Izakaya II captures a fleeting moment. Steam rises from the woks as chefs work in rhythm behind the bar, their movements half-obscured, half-revealed through heat and light.
Known for its maze of tiny bars and electric nighttime energy, Tokyo comes alive after dark — all clinking glasses, conversation, and soft chaos contained within impossibly small spaces . Here, the scene a snapshot of people in motion, yet suspended in a moment of quiet focus. It’s less about the crowd, and more about the atmosphere — the glow, the haze, and the sense of being right there, just for a second.
While a limited number of prints are available, there’s only one original - when it’s gone, it’s gone.
