A little secret I’ve been keeping…

Back in June 2025, I received a phone call telling me I’d been selected from over 2,000 applicants to be a main pod contestant on the next series of Landscape Artist of the Year 2026. Typing this still feels a little unreal.

It turned out to be one of the most surreal, joyful (and quietly nerve-wracking) days of my painting life — made all the more special by meeting the brilliant judges Tai-Shan Schierenberg, Kathleen Soriano and Eva Langret, alongside the ever-charming Stephen Mangan.

Huge thanks to the production team for creating such a calm, supportive atmosphere throughout — it truly was a privilege to be part of.

I won’t be giving anything away just yet, but the new series airs in early 2026… and yes, I’ll be watching with my fingers firmly crossed.
